Our Story

My name is Mark Hembree and I love to eat! My dad loved to eat as well. Before he passed away a few years ago, he always complained about his stomach hurting. When the doctors finally investigated the issue, they found he had no lining in his stomach! It seems after years of eating spicy peppers, they finally got the best of him.

I too love the peppers. However, I have determined not to suffer like my dad. So I have sought to create alternatives to the foods which robbed my dad’s love of food.

One of the first products I have created is a bar-b-que sauce. Trying to stay true to my roots, I worked on a formula that added to the flavor of the proteins we spend a lot of time cooking and enjoying. I wanted a sauce that enhanced the flavor of meats – not one that covered the taste.

I also understand that people have diverse pallets. So, I came up with our base sauce and then added some peppers to it and came up with our sweet heat sauce. I also left out the heat and ended up with our sweet sauce.

All three of our bar-b-que sauces are designed to enhance the meat – not cover it up. Even our Sweet Heat sauce allows the flavor of the food to come through the sauce but delivers the heat afterwards!
